Like father, like daughter: a legacy of Law
By Barr. Peter Uwadiae-Igbinigie
Today, my joy knows no bounds as I celebrate a priceless moment in my life and in the life of my beloved daughter, now ‘Barrister Marvel Uwadiae’. She has been called to the Nigerian Bar, boldly stepping into the noble profession that has defined my own life’s journey.
As a father and a lawyer, I consider this a double honor first; the blessing of seeing my daughter fulfill her dreams, and second; the privilege of watching her embrace the very path I have walked with pride for decades.
Indeed, nothing gladdens the heart more than witnessing one’s own child take up the mantle of legacy!
Marvel, this is more than a professional milestone; it is the continuation of a vision, the blossoming of seeds sown in discipline, perseverance, and faith.
Today, you wear the wig and gown not just as a symbol of success, but as an emblem of service to justice, truth, and humanity.
I rejoice because you are proof that values instilled, prayers whispered, and sacrifices made are never in vain.
You are my pride, my legacy, and my answered prayer. As you take your place at the Bar, may wisdom guide you, may integrity define you, and may courage crown your every advocacy!
This is not just your victory, it is our family’s joy and the beginning of a new chapter in our story.
Like father, like daughter, the torch has been passed, and the future of the law shines brighter with you in it; With immeasurable pride and fatherly blessings!
