BENIN CITY- 31 years old Okorie Chibueze Emmanuel on Wednesday declared his readiness to break the Guinness World Record as he attempts the longest Marathon interviewing for 70 hours
Okorie , a graduate of Ebonyi State University, said his driving force behind attempting the Guinness World Record for the longest Marathon interviewing goes beyond just breaking records.
According to him, I envisioned a platform where Africans can inspire and uplift one another.
Okorie , who will be conducting the interview for 70 hours Record target will be making history as the current record holder , Clara Chizoba Kronborg (Nigerian/Spanish) holds a current record of 55 hours , 24 seconds.
“My goal is to bridge the knowledge gap by showcasing the trajectory and achievements of 100 inspiring guests from different walks of life telling the stories of their humble beginnings, how they overcame their obstacles to becoming who the society celebrates today, believing that millions of young minds will be positively shaped, motivated and inspired to pursue their dreams despite their present odds.”
Okorie is expected to begin the longest Marathon interviewing from August 22nd to 25th at the Banquet Hall of Chief Gabriel Igbinedion with the latter as one of the interviewees for the epoch making historic event.
Okorie is the immediate past Public Relations Officer for the Association of Nigerian Authors, Edo State Chapter.
Earlier, the Edo state Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare hailed the courage and determination of the interviewer ahead of the Marathon.
Nehikhare said the Obaseki led government is proud to identify with Okorie, and encourages residents to engage in meaningful ventures of this nature that promote innovation, skills, and youth development.
