……. Says they do not have regret voting for him in 2019 and again in 2023
Otuo, unarguably the single largest entity in Owan land, in terms of voting strength, has remained upbeat with no regrets whatsoever in voting massively for Hon Prof Julius Ihonvbere in the 2019 House of Representatives elections and a repeat of same feat in the 2023 contest. This is because of the people’s long standing admiration, confidence and belief in the proven track records and abilities of Ihonvbere, in not only delivering appropriate results but his ingenuous and infectious disposition to a people-oriented service.
This assertion was contained in a congratulatory message to Prof Julius Ihonvbere on his recent appointment as Majority Leader of the House of Representatives. The message, signed by Mr Charles Ojeabuo and Ellu Daniel Friday, National President and General Secretary respectively of the community’s flagship body.
THE OTUO UNION, stressed that Ihonvbere’s appointment as Majority Leader was well deserved and the people are therefore proud to have him represent Otuo community and the entire Owan Constituents in this all important role.
” We have long admired your commitment to public service and your dedication to the people of Owan Federal Constituency; “you have a proven track record of delivering results and we are confident that you will continue to be a strong advocate of our community in the House of Representatives.”
The people noted that Ihonvbere, with this historic appointment, first by any Owan Rep, has a very unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of the people, and expressed absolute confidence in his ability to rise to the occasion, whilst hoping that the he would utilize his new position to promote peace, prosperity and development of Owan as a whole.
While assuring Prof Julius Ihonvbere of the people’s continuous support and cooperation, they prayed for God’s guidance, wisdom and excellent health for the Owan Rep to enable him discharge his responsibilities and deliver satisfactorily on his new position.
