The Executive Chairman of Etsako Central local government area, Hon Solomon Obomighie has assured the Gold lities, the Nollywood films Production company of the local government assistance wherever the need arises.
The chairman gave the assurance when he visited the construction sites of the film Production in Fugar City, the administrative headquarters of the local government.
Hon Obomighie who expressed delight over the sighting of the films Production village in the local government by Gold lities the Nollywood films Production company said when completed, it will boost the economic and social activities of the town in particular and the local government area in general.
In addition he said, the films village will also add to the already existing tourist centers such as the Oghodoghodo cave, the Edegbake cave and the Okuozibo maintain hill in Fugar City.
“I want to sincerely extend my gratitude to the chairman of the tourists, Arts and Culture Committee, Dr Victor Okhai for making sure such an important tourist is brought to the local government and also the traditional rulers for their warm welcome to the production company”.
The chairman however used the opportunity to call on the talented individual especially the youths who have the intention of going into the movies industry to avail themselves as the production company planned to recruit and train interested persons.
On his part, the chairman of the committee, Dr Victor Okhai thanked the executive chairman Hon Solomon Obomighie for providing the enabling environment for the films Production village saying that when completed, it will attract other films Production to the area.
He further stated that the Gold lities decided to build the films Production village in Fugar because of the habitation and location which will be accessible to order films Production companies.
Also in the visit is the president general of the Fugar Progressive Union FPU Chief Richard Anetekhai.
