The national Chairman of Labour Party, Barr Julius Abure has reiterated the party’s decision to hold a free, fair and credible party primaries which he says would produce the best candidate for Edo people.
This was contained in a release signed and made available to the newsmen in Benin city after the Party’s strategic meeting with critical stakeholders.
The national chairman who was said to have had a heart to heart discussion with the state Executive Council comprising the 18 LGA chairmen, their secretaries and the state working committee members at the party’s state secretariat in Benin city yesterday, pointed out that now the time table for the Edo 2024 governorship election has been released that the party would soon Unveil modalities for a free fair and credible party primaries in the state.
According to the release, “with the recent release of the timetable for Edo governorship election, plans will soon be unveiled on the modalities for a free, fair and credible primaries.
“LP is going to present the best candidate to Edo people that no political party can beat in the race to Osadebe Avenue.
He commended the state chairman Com. Kelly Ogbaloi and his executive council members for their steadfastness and commitment to the party. He reiterated that LP taking over Osadebey Avenue in 2024 is not negotiable.
The people once again expressed their unalloyed support for his leadership and pass an explicit vote of confidence on him.
