… Says Governor Obaseki’s efforts yielded positive results in Owan West
Sabogidda Ora -IN a bid to ensure greater unity of members and ensure consistent victory at the polls, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ag. Chairman in Owan West, Hon. Johnbull Ogedengbe, has assured that he will do everything within his powers to bring everybody together.
He made this known while responding to newsmen in Sabongidda-Ora, shortly after the declaration of Hon. Blessing Agbebaku of the PDP as the winner of the March 18 House of Assembly election.
The Ag. Party Chairman paid glowing tributes to the State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu for their contribution and leadership role that contributed to the overall success of the PDP in the State, noting that;
“The reconciliation efforts of the Governor and his Deputy yielded positive results.
“Last week Sunday, the 12th of March of March, the Governor was with us in the LGA, where he met with the various leaders and stakeholders of the party.
“On behalf of the PDP in Owan West, I want to commend the leaders and executives of our great party for their efforts and cooperation. Their efforts contributed greatly to the emergence of our candidate as the winner of the election.
“And to the people of Owan West, this victory truly belongs to you. We salute your labour of love and show of solidarity. None of us will ever forget this day.
While expressing confidence in Hon. Agbebaku’s legislative acumen, considering his first Assembly membership, he pointed out that,
“At this juncture, I want to specially say congratulations to the man who God has destined to win and represent us at the Anthony Enahoro Assembly Complex for the next four years.
“Personally, it was one of the the longest electioneering campaigns ever in the history of Owan West politics, but thank God for giving PDP victory, a well deserved one for that matter.
“Owan West people spoke loudly and clearly that we are a collection of people whose voices and will must be respected at a decisive moment like this.
“As always, the voice of the people remain the voice of God, and we give God all the glory for making what the enemies of the party thought what was impossible, became possible.
“For Blessing Agbebaku, I have no doubt that the next four years will witness another phase of taking Owan West to an enviable level that will make the people very proud.”
It would be recalled that the Owan West PDP Ag. Chairman, Hon. Ogedengbe had consistently maintained that Blessing Agbebaku’s election in the Constituency “was a task that must be accomplished.”
