BENIN CITY- In fulfilments of part of the electioneering campaign, the member representing Oredo West constituency in Edo State House of Assembly,Hon Dr Edosa Richard has embarked on empowerment training of 30 youths in Information Technology from his constituency
The empowerment training which he said is going to be a continuous process will last for thirty days and it is taking place at the Amena Academy here in Benin City because it’s certification is acceptable all round the globe
Hon Edosa who is also Chairman House Committee on Health said he decided to empower the youths through training in information technology because Information Technology is the new gold globally as it embrace all parts of of human existence be it health ,education and security,pointing out that the most countries that are doing very well today is as a result of the focus they have in information technology
He added that with information technology you are able to process datas,keep data of incidence that are prevelences of various kind of diseases ,keep data of population and able to do budgeting with accuracy ,with IT also farming is becoming even much more easier ,noting that this is the right time because necessity is the mother of invention.
He added that training the youths in cyber security and web design, it will help in tackling some of these cyber crimes ,and some will be able to work with security agencies or work as a private investigators .
The honourable representing the good people of Oredo West ,said the empowerment is about Edo people not just for his constituency alone ” if the road is good both PDP ,APC ,Labour Party and others will enjoy a good road ,the economy that is bad today we are all suffering together irrespective of the party . So if am empowering people I empower Edo people irrespective of the party they belong to because this is not about politics,it is about empowering Edo youths ,Nigerian youths and indirectly improving on the economy of the state “.
He then urged the beneficiaries to remain focus and take the training seriously as it will go a long way to give them what they seek for and in a significant way put food on their table
Speaking on the empowerment training ,Mr Edosa Eghobamien ,CEO of Amena Academy commended Hon Dr Edosa Richard solely sponsorship of the training of youths in his constituency in Information Technology for a greater tomorrow.
Mr Edosa Eghobamien who said information technology is what is trending globally, it used to solve alot of problems both in health, education agriculture, transportation and so on and appreciated Hon Dr Edosa Richard for the initiative for the youths to join in the trend of Information Technology.
He advised the beneficiaries of the training program to it seriously and to follow the laid down rules and regulation to the later for not only for their benefits but to also impact what they will learn in the society.
