It is a thing of great joy that Edo North, after the spectacular outing in the last election is poised to clinch one of the principal positions in the House of Representatives.
With the background knowledge of how positions are given in the house, member representing Owan Federal Constituency and his Akoko Edo counterpart, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere OON, and Hon. Peter Akpatason respectively, both ranking members, are the men the cap fit.
As it is only one man who will wear the cap, it then becomes necessary to cast a cursory look at the two honourable members.
At this stage, it will be wise to go back memory lane and recapture how house positions have evolved between the two constituencies over the years.
1. Tunde Akogun(Akoko Edo) – Majority leader.
2. Pally Iriase (Owan) – Deputy Whip.
Peter Akpatason (Akoko Edo) – Deputy Majority Leader.
With the information above, it will only be logical to give a chance for Owan Federal Constituency to have whatever slot is available for our zone.
Prof. Julius Kayode Omozuanvbo Ihonvbere OON, is eminently qualified to serve with diligence and efficiently in whatever capacity in the House of Representatives.
