A Frontline Governorship aspirant on the platform of the All progressive party in Edo State for next year Governorship election Gen Charles Airhiarevbre rtd has congratulated president Bola Tinubu on his victory at the supreme courtĀ .
According to the Governorship hopeful, the decision of the Apex court has laid to rest all the contending issues which arose after the conduct of the presidential election which was conducted by the independent national electoral commission on the 25th of Feb 2023.
General Charles Airhiarevbre in a statement personally endorsed by himself and made available to the press called on all opposition to join hand with the president in his task to rebuild the nation and make it habitable and comfortable for every citizens of the country.
He charged the president to now concentrate on the onerous task of rebuilding the Nation,s economy and making life bearable for the common man.Gen Charles Airhiarvbere who until now was director of Administration and finance in the Niger delta development commission also congratulated the National leadership of the ruling party the All progressive Congress for the victory and called on all Nigerian irrespective of political divide and religious sentiment to join hand with the president to ensure that the Nation is put in the right pedestal for nation development
It will be recalled that the supreme court,the highest court in the land delivered judgement in the appeal filed by the presidential candidate of the peoples democratic party Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr Peter Obi of the Labour party who claimed that they were rigged out of the election and that president Tinubu was alleged to have forged his certificate which he tendered before independent national electoral commission to contest the 2023 presidential election of Feb 25th 2023.
The supreme court on the 26th of October dismissed the appeal and affirm the election of president Bola Tinubu as the duly elected president of the federal republic of Nigeria.
With this judgement, all contending issues regarding the Feb 25th presidential and National Assembly election has been finally laid to rest
