BENIN CITY- A Governorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party in Edo State, Mrs Patience Ndidi Key has assured that if voted into power as Governor of Edo state, she will focus on critical infrastructure.
She gave the assurance in Benin city when she visited the Edo state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Festus Alenkhe in the Press Centre.
Mrs Ndidi Key stated that governance is one of the best ways to help the people especially in the area of providing the necessary infrastructure in the state.
She assured that if she is voted into power as Governor in Edo state, she will focus mainly on projects that will improve on the fortune of the people.
The Edo state PRP Governorship candidate said, she has experience in both global and local dynamics having served as President/CEO of the Nigerians ln Diaspora Chamber of Commerce.
Mrs Ndidi Key disclosed that as a health professional, emphasis will be placed on the health of the people of Edo state as ” Good Health Promotes Economic Development”.
She outlined some of the areas that will be in focus if elected as Edo state Governor to include Education with modern schools infrastructure, teacher training, updated curriculum, scholarships and grants.
Other areas are integrated human capital development, youth empowerment through vocational and skills engagement, Sports/Arts, Agricultural Transformation, power, Roads , transport, urban planning and housing with environmental conservation.
Other critical areas that will be in focus include Economic and technological advancement and Diaspora collaboration.
She assured Journalists in Edo State of a frequent media talk in order to put the people of Edo state in the mainstream of her administration.
Responding, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo state council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe said NUJ remain apolitical in all its activities and wished the Gubernatorial candidate the very best.
He stressed the need for politicians to continue to abide by the rules and code of electoral campaigns for the promotion of peace in Edo state.
Comrade Festus Alenkhe said Edo state people must continue to enjoy peace in all ramifications.
