BENIN CITY- The Management and staff of Edo State Geographic Information Service, (EDOGIS) have commended Gov. Godwin Obaseki, for providing the enabling environment for the workers and also extending the same to their children.
This is even as they also appreciated the Managing Director of EDOGIS, ESV ( Mrs) Grace Osaro Aihie, Esq. for the establishment of the Creche in the Agency for the children of EDOGIS staff.
Speaking to Journalists , the Caregiver at the Creche , Mrs Osawe Edith said the Creche was established by the Managing Director, ESV. (Mrs) Aihie within the conducive premises of the Agency, to take care of the Children of nursing mothers who are workers in the Agency in order for the working and nursing mothers to put in their best in the day to day affairs in the establishment.
She noted that the establishment of the Creche by the Managing Director has really helped the workers in reducing the stress of having to move from one place to another to tend to their wards which is now within reach in the same establishment where they work .
While commending the Managing Director of the organization for the initiative, the Caregiver at the Creche also used the opportunity to appeal to the State Governor to complement the efforts of the Managing Director in the provision of more basic amenities such as Refrigerators for storage of expressed breast milk and other learning materials for the children at the Creche.
A nursing mother and an accountant in the Agency, Mrs Edith Eboigbe said the initiative by the Managing Director, EDOGIS to establish a creche for the workers has really paid off, as the workers now put in their best in the day to day running of the organization.
” When you are working and you know that your child/children are in safe hands, it will make you put in your best and save you the stress of doing school runs at the detriment of the work at hand ” she added
She however used the opportunity to appeal to the state government to boost the efforts of the MD by complementing her laudable initiative in the provision of more facilities at the Creche .
Also speaking, other parents in the Agency, Mrs Jennifer Osagie and Mrs Jane Obarentin noted that the Creche in the Agency has substantially helped them in actualising their daily tasks and contribute meaningfully to meeting the set targets of the Agency as touching the MEGA agenda of the State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki.
